Exercise & Sport

Many people with scoliosis wonder whether activities such as running, yoga, Pilates, strength training, hiking, skiing, or sport are safe for their spine.

In most cases, staying active is both safe and beneficial. While physiotherapeutic scoliosis-specific exercises (PSSE) remain an important foundation of treatment, exercise and sport play an important role in overall health, confidence, and quality of life.

There is no single best exercise for scoliosis. The most appropriate activities are often the ones that support your health and allow you to continue doing the things you enjoy.

Recommendations regarding posture, movement strategies, and activity modifications should be individualized based on your scoliosis, your body, and your goals.

My goal is to help you apply scoliosis principles to the activities you love so you can continue to participate confidently and comfortably.
